MERCED (Merced Co.), Oct. 8 - Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in Our Lady of Mercy Church for John W. Guest, 61, operator of a local motel and a resident of Merced for the last twenty eight years, who died Tuesday night in a San Francisco hospital. Rev. M. J. Stack will officiate and entombment will follow in the Evergreen Mausoleum with the Ivers & Alcorn Mortuary in charge. The rosary will be recited this evening at 8 o'clock in the mortuary chapel.

Guest, a native of California, was a member of the Yosemite Parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Irene Guest; a son, Larry Guest; four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Langley, Merced; Mrs. Lulu McMenemy, Strathmore; Mrs. Blanche Hill, Redwood City, and Mrs. Minnie McMilan, Colusa; four brothers, Clarence and Albert Guest, Petaluma; Norman Guest, Merced, and Elijah Guest, U. S. Army, and two grandchildren.
