Mr. Snider was retired as administrative manager of Southern Illinois Power Cooperative in Marion for 20 years. He had taught school in the Steeleville area for 20 years. He was a member of the Elkd Club in Green Valley, AZ and was president of Haven Men's Gulf Association also in Green Valley. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois Normal University.
