Frank Yount, Sr., 74, of 317 South Walnut Street, Troy, died at 9 p.m. Monday at Stouder Memorial Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Yount was admitted to the hospital Sunday evening.

He was born Sept. 23, 1879, in Tipp City, son of Harrison and Adelaide Yount. He was married to Rosa Clingan on May 19, 1903, by Rev. Gilbert Austin, in the Tipp City home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Clingan. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1953.

Mr. Yount was a former employee of the First Troy National Bank and Trust Company. He was forced to retire in April of this year because of illness. He was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Mr. Yount was a resident of Piqua for 28 years, moving to Troy about 23 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Yount at one time operated the Spot Restaurant on the public square.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Ruth Hancock, at home; one son, Frank Yount, Jr. of 1023 S. Clay Street; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Westfall of West Milton and Mrs. Ethel Shaffer of Tipp City; two brothers, Ed Yount of Piqua and Ralph Yount of Los Angeles; and one grandchild, Karen Sue Yount.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Coppock-Lee Memorial Home, Tipp City. Dr. Howard Peterson of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the memorial home after 4 p.m. Wednesday until time of the services.
