Final rites for Pfc. Raoul S. Stewart, former resident of this area, were held May 2 at the Custer Battlefield National Cemetery, Crow Agency, Mont. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stewart, former Parkerton residents, now of Hobbs, N.M. The deceased attended the Glenrock schools while his father was with the Ohio Oil Co.
Pfc. Stewart was killed in action in the Battle of the Bulge, near Bastonge, Belgium, January 16, 1945. He was 19 years old at the time of his death. He was serving with the 75th division of the 291st Infantry.
