Elmer E. Wright, 54, of 711 Riverside Ave., Elmira, formerly of Bath, died Jul 19 after along illness.
Born in Lewvan, Saskatchewan, he was the son of Edward and Hattie Wortman Wright.
Mr. Wright was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Elmira; a past president of the Elmira and Bath Kiwanis clubs; an honorary member of the Horseheads Kiwanis Club; a member of Steuben Masonic Lodge 112 of Bath, Corning Consistory, Elmira Cashmere Grotto, Bath Elks Lodge and the Elmira Twin Tiers Genealogical Society. He was employed as used car manager for Elm Chevrolet in Elmira.
Surviving are; his widow Louise Buckley Wright; a son Richard Wright of Southington CT; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Schulz of Rochester; a brother, Clarence Wright of Umatilla FL, two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Kellogg of Corry, PA, and Mrs. Bea Enscoe of Bath; three grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Sat in Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. David Kingman officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport NY. At the request of the family, those who wish may donate to the National Kidney Foundation in NY, NY.
