"John W. McCartney, 21, died at 3 o'clock Thursday morning at his home on Lisbon street, death resulting from injuries suffered a few days previous when the automobile he was driving overturned near his home at the curve of Lisbon street. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest McCartney, he was born in Hysham, Wyoming, Sept. 23, 1918, but had resided in Canfield the past 17 years. Surviving are two brothers, Forest of Hysham and Herbert of Canfield; two sisters, Mrs. (sic Miss) Norma Renkenberger and Mrs. Joseph Greasel, Canfield. The body is at the home, where friends may call Friday. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial in Canfield village cemetery."
