Grover C. Luper Dies Suddenly
Grover Cleveland Luper, age 70, died suddenly last Thursday morning in Gulfport where he was visiting his sister, Miss Bessie Luper, who is presently employed there.
Funeral services were held from Saulters Funeral Home Chapel Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. Wm. C. Fulgham, pastor of the Prentisss Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Brady Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Luper was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Prentiss Methodist Church.
Honorary pall bearers were R. P. (Bob) Hamilton, Louis Williams, Wood Berry, N. W. Buckley, Howard Hartzog, John McLaurin and B. C. Griffith. Active pall bearers were Harold Everitt, G. O. Berry, T. Rush, D. H. Price, Shorty Mikell, R. C. Williams, Jr., E. B. Livingston and I. A. Barr.
Besides his sister, Miss Bessie Luper, one brother, C. A. Luper, also of Prentiss, survives.
