Funeral services of Jasper Jay, who died Tuesday afternoon at his home in China Springs, aged 80 years, took place Wednesday afternoon.
A service was held at the family residnece at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon and at the Methodist Church at 3:30 services were held with the pastor Rev. R. E. Biggs and Rev. M. M. Smith, officiating. Interment was in the China Springs cemetery, six grandsons acting as active pallbearers.
He had lived at China Springs since 1884 and was widely known and generally esteemed.
