Charles D. "Speedy" Brown, 70, of Van Buren died Saturday, May 19, 2001.
He was a member of Alma Masonic Lodge No. 735, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, a retired employee of Olin Industries and a Baptist.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Poague of Van Buren; two sons, Steve Brown of Virginia Beach, Va. and Paul Brown of Chesapeake, Va.; one sister, Louise Ball of Sallisaw, Okla.; two brothers, Jack Brown of Springdale and Jerry Brown of Alma; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held May 22 at Ocker Memorial Chapel. Burial was held at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were R.C. Walker, Jack Brown, Jerry Brown, Christopher Poague, Jason Brown and Jacob Brown.
