Enos Hobson, 84, New London, died at 8 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He had been in failing health for 14 months.
Born in western Howard County Oct. 15, 1887, he was the son of Ossian and Narcissa (Mendenhall) Hobson. He was married Dec. 25, 1907 to Bertha Hinshaw, who survives.
He had lived in the New London community all his life and was a birthrite member of New London Friends Church.
Also surviving are two sons, E. Howard Hobson, Chillecothe, Ill., and Everett Hobson, Russiaville; two daughters, Mrs. Lex (Nellie) Orem, Lafayette, and Mrs. Roy (Esther) Donica, Kokomo; one sister, Mrs. Grace Waldron, Royal Center; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death.
