Edmund Edmundson, 87, was born January 13, 1871, in Voss, Norway and passed away July 22, 1958 at the Wesley Hospital in Wadena.
He immigrated from Norway to America at the age of 21 and worked in Illinois 7 years, Madison, WI 3 years and Williamsburgh, VA for 11 years.
He was united in marriage to Hilda Skaro, April 21, 1911 at Williamsburgh, VA and had been married 47 years at the time of his death. Mr. and Mrs. Edmundson moved to Sebeka 45 years ago and were engaged in farming until three years ago when they moved to a home in Sebeka.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, three sons and three daughters, namely: Earl of Sebeka, MN; Albert, New Philadelphia, Ohio; Blaine, Anoka, MN; Mrs. Jack Morgan (Julia), Minneapolis, MN; Mrs. Chester Tollefson (Gladys), Anoka, MN; and Mrs. Harry S. Dobbie (Ailene), LaGrange, Illinois; also Mrs. Thomas Ellefson (sister), Mt. Horeb, WI; one sister, Gertrude and other relatives living in Norway, sixteen grandchildren and a host of friends.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sebeka.
Funeral services for this respected pioneer citizen were held Friday, July 25 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. R. E. Anderson officiating.
Mrs. Russell Nelson and Mrs. Oray Tangen sang "Face to Face" and "Nearer My God to Thee".
Pallbearers were Steven Niska, Wayne Kiser, John Lillquist, Benjamin School, Fred Thompson, John Quale and Rudolph Stelck.
