Funeral services for Frank Webb Adams, highly respected 63-year-old retired farmer and community leader of the Bogue Chitto community in Lincoln county, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Montgomery Baptist Church.
Rev. Worthy officiated at last rites for Mr. Adams, who is mourned by a large immediate family and a large circle of friends and relatives in the region.
Mr. Adams passed away at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, Feb. 7, at his home following a period in which his health steadily declined. Mr. Adams was a former resident of Franklin County.
He leaves his wife; five sons, Howard and Roy Adams, both of Summit; J.Q. and Willard Adams, both of Bogue Chitto, and Roy Adams, McComb; five daughters, Mrs. Hollis Roberts, McComb; Mrs. Andrew Carroll, Liberty; Mrs. Garth McDavid, McCall Creek; Mrs. Hilton May, Summit, and Mrs. Kelly McKenzie, Bogue Chitto; a brother, Gantz Adams, Vicsburg; a sister, Mrs. Henry Miller, Memphis, Tenn., and many other relatives.
Interment was in Montgomery cemetery with Cathchings Funeral Home in charge of services.
