Nancy Faye Goodson Andress, 55, of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in an automobile accident in Troy, Alabama. She was enroute home from receiving the Medical Center Enterprise Employee of the Year award at the Community Health Systems National Conference in Nashville, Tennesee.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2008, 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Enterprise with Dr. G. Lance Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in the Enterprise City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.
The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church Friday, February 29, from 6 until 8 pm. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Nancy Goodson Andress Nursing Scholarship Fund, c/o Wallace Community College Foundation, 5565 Montgomery Highway, Dothan, Alabama 36303 or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 302 North Main Street, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.
Nancy was born April 12, 1952, in Ft. Rucker, Alabama, to the late Mr. Collis Goodson and Mrs. Jeffie Goodson. She was a 1970 graduate of Enterprise High School and was voted the homecoming queen her senior year.
She received her nursing degree from Wallace College and had worked at Medical Center Enterprise for 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise and was a Sunday school teacher for several years.
Survivors include her husband, J. Michael Andress, Enterprise, Ala.; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Tricia Andress, Anniston, Ala.; mother, Jeffie Goodson, Enterprise; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Lora Goodson, Dublin, Georgia and Danny and Linda Goodson, Enterprise, Ala.; a grandbaby to be born in August; several nephews.
