ELDRIDGE, Helen Marie
Dec. 1, 1919 ~ Jan. 19, 2010
You were our Sunshine
Mom was born in Lomita, Calif., to Ivar and Helma Leino. There she shared her home with two brothers Paul and Ray. She married Robert Eldridge the love of her life and moved to Merced, Calif., where they managed a Karl Shoe Store and raised four children, Ray, Rita, Robert and Edward. She moved to Palmdale in 1961, to be closer to her husbands parents who later came to live with us. She moved to Reno, Nev., to be closer to two of her sons Robert "Bob" and Edward. There she was able to watch several grandchildren grow up into fine adults. She was always there to listen, tease and laugh with all who came her way. She is survived by her three sons Ray and wife Gail, Edward and wife Bonnie, Robert and her daughter Rita Mounts and husband David, also 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Eldridge, a great- grandson known as Little Ray, her parents and two brothers. We were all blessed to have her as our mother. To family and many friends she adopted along the way she was a great friend who taught what love is all about and will be missed by all. Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2010, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale, Calif.
