Visitation for Richard "Dick" M. Bacino, 65, of St. Anne, will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. William Sims will officiate. Military rites will be provided by the Aroma Park American Legion F-Troop. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley. He died Sunday (June 26, 2005) at his home, after an extended illness. Mr. Bacino retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was also a retired concrete mason and a member of Local 6. He was born March 14, 1940, in Kankakee, the son of Michael and Olive Dortch Bacino. He was a member of the Aroma Park American Legion, a life member of the VFW in Frankfort, a life member of the Fleet Reserves and a member of the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club. He was a NASCAR fan. Surviving are his wife, the former Rosemary Allison, of St. Anne, whom he married Oct. 16, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter and son-in-law, NaDean and Robert Kelly of Anaheim, Calif.; his mother of Bessemer, Ala.; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" and John Sims of Bessemer, Ala.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Sue Bacino of Augusta, Ga., Raymond and Beverly Bacino of Panama City, Fla.; and one granddaughter. Deceased are his father; one brother, Michael Bacino; and two infant sisters.
