Darrel Bolling JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. Darrel Bolling, 68, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Bolling was born on June 1, 1941, in Norton, Va., the son of the late Hillard and Kathleen Welch Bolling. He was a native of Wise, Va., and a graduate of J.J. Kelly High School. He had lived in the local area for 20 years. Mr. Bolling was a member of Oakland Baptist Church in Johnson City. He enjoyed playing the guitar and writing gospel music. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bolling was preceded in death by a brother, Earl D. Bolling. Survivors of Darrel Bolling include his wife, Celia Bolling, Johnson City; three sons, Duane Hash, Street, Md., Dain P. Bolling, Johnson City and Ric Boleyn, Johnson City; two brothers, Scotty Bolling and Terry Bolling; seven sisters, Monette Blanton, Eileen Strouth, Jenelle Horn, Betty Jean Johnson, Patsy Carter, Kathy Kennedy and Janet Culbertson; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
