LILLIAN BOWEN LOGSDON, 92, of Louisville, died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004 at the Klondike Manor in Louisville. A native of Washington County, she was born on July 24, 1912 to the late William Thomas and Mary Sallee Bowen. She was a member of Fern Creek Christian Church, a member of the Guiding Star Chapter # 450, Order of the Eastern Star in Springfield and a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her husband, former Washington County Judge John Logsdon on Dec. 25, 1989; a step-daughter, Anna Mae Sutton; a step-granddaughter, Cindy Sutton; three sisters, Ethel Ingram, Evelyn Brown and Anna Belle Drury; and four brothers, William, Calvin, Richard and James Bowen. Survivors include a son, Roger Thurman of Louisville; a daughter, Patricia Brooks of Jeffersontown; a step-daughter, Inelle Mattingly of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Burdette, minister of Fern Creek Christian Church, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Jon Auten, pastor of Poplar Level Baptist Church. Burial was on Cemetery Hill. Pallbearers were Raymond Bowen, Calvin Bowen, Belwood Ingram, Philip Ingram, Doug Ingram and Terry Lacer.
