Francis Earl Achenbach, 74, Tipton route 2, died in Tipton County Hospital at 9 p.m. Sunday after three weeks of hospitalization following an illness of 14 years.

Services will be held at 2.p.m. Wednesday from the New Hope Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Chester Perkins
officiating and burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Leatherman-Morris Funeral Home or for an hour prior to services at the church.

The deceased was born Nov. 25, 1885 in Tipton County, the son of William and Amelia (Kleyla) Achenbach. He was married May 7, 1910, in Tipton to Miss Orpha Hoover, who survives. He was a member and Past Master of Austin Lodge 128, F.& A.M., Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, the New Hope Congregational Christian church. He farmed for a living.

Surviving in addition to the wife are two children, Dale of Tipton and Mrs. Willard Goar of Lakeland, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Victoria Jackson of Tipton and 10 grandchildren.
