Colleen Elen Wayman Allred 1931 ~ 2010 Colleen Allred, age 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away Jan. 22, 2010, following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with me". Colleen was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Donald Arthur Wayman and Lois Marie O'Leary Wayman. Married Clayton Thomas Allred, Aug. 23, 1951. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She attended Henager's Business College and worked for Jordan School District in Food Services for 24 years. She loved crocheting, painting ceramics, genealogy, and reading. She also loved family gatherings and cooking for them. Survived by four loving daughters and their spouses: MaryAnn Lowe, Corinne (Kent) Willard, Kimberly (Mark) Gilbert, Nila (Daniel) Dick; eight grandchildren: Heather, Michelle, Stefanie, Kristen, Nicole, Emily, Keith, Brett; seven great grandchildren; sister: Donna (Leo) Park; brother: David (Nola) Wayman; and sister in-law: Edna (Paul) Neilsen. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Vicky Powell. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at the Butler 12th Ward, 2695 E. 7000 S. Family and friends may call Friday evening 6:30-8:00 p.m., at Mtn. View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd.), and Saturday at the ward, 9:30 a.m., prior to services. Interment Mtn.
