The late Mrs Willam R Dixon nee Elizabeth McKitterick died at the home of her son in law Herbert Mollard of con 7 McGillivray on Monday March 20th , 1923. Aged 86 years.
She was born in Armagh County Ireland in 1886. She came to the State of New York when quite young and then moved to Canada about sixty years ago. Ten years later she married William R Dixon who died in 1919.

Mrs Dixon was a woman who loved the home, one of those who glorified motherhood by her devotions in her children and by the tender love for which she inspired in them. she lived through pioneer days and she lived to enjoy the luxuries of these days which have come in this generation through the labor of hands once strong and capable but now feeble and old for folded forever in their last long rest.
These women stood shoulder to shoulder to shoulder with their husbands. They accepted the sacrifices and the hard work and they rejoiced int the success which came gradually in response to their untied efforts. And up through the years strong women brave women , women on which the home and the nation could depend women who were beloved and respected women to whom duty and pleasure were one.
She was a member of the Methodist church the Ladies Aid and the WMS. She is survived by three children Mrs H Mollard, Mrs Joseph Horner and Wm J Dixon all of McGillivray also a step son of West Williams.
