M. H. Pace is Taken by Death on Tuesday Eve
Funeral services were held this afternoon for M. H. Pace, age 78, who died at his home In Eucutta at 6:10 p. m. Tuesday. Mr. Pace had been ill for nine months in the home where he had lived for 70 years. During his active life he had been a respected citizen always interested in the affairs of his county of Wayne and the state. Funeral services were held in Zion Rest church with Rev. N. M. Walters officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery. Mr. Pace is survived by four sons, two daughters, six grandchildren and two great grandchildrcn. The sons are: C. L. Pace. Bogalusa; J. K. Pace, Shubuta; E. L. Pace. Baton Rouge, and J. F. Pace. Eucutta. The daughters are: Mrs. E. L. Barbour. Gulfport, and Mrs. C. B. Johnson. Eucutta. One brother. Z. F. Pace, of Eucutta. also survives. The pall bearers were: Marvin Davis. Frank Davis, Reese Davis, T. E Edison, Ernest Utsey and Melvin Cooley. The honorary pall bearers were: A. L. Crosby. Sam Slay, H. D. Norsworth, Arthur Busby, G. S. Stanly, J. W Reynolds, Frank Clark, Isaac West and I. S. Martin.
