A daughter of Wm. Markey, Jr. & Hannah Brown Norris, she was the 6th of 8 siblings. She married George William Boyd in 1857. Eliza lived at Tippecanoe until 1890, and in retirement, in Scio (where she and George ran a boarding house for the oil workers) & Uhrichsville, Ohio. After the death of George in 1914, she lived among her children - mostly with her eldest child, Belinda, in Uhrichsville. Eliza was the mother of seven children: Belinda (Conwell), Albert, Lyde (Billingsley), Luther, Annie (Groves), Martha (Carruthers), & Arthur. She was the most amazing woman. Eliza died at the home of her son, Albert, where she had lived for so many years and where she raised her own family.
