Jane (Capper) Sollars was born July 31, 1816, in Winchester, Virginia. She married William Rutledge Sollars in 1841. They were the parents of ten children. Six were living at the time of her husband's death: John W. of Colfax county, Edward E. of Garrett County, Maryland, Mrs. Otto Leifer of Salt Lake City, Mrs. William Kincaid of Colfax County, Mrs. A. C. Brown of Winchester, Virginia, and Mrs. Ed J. Fletcher of Colfax County. Jane died on April 12th 1889.
