Mrs. Mary Alice Mattingly, 76, widow of Tom Mattingly, died Wednesday night at 7:10 o'clock at her home at Raywick. She had been critically ill for some time. Mrs. Mattingly was a native of this county, born March 6, 1868, a daughter of Marion and Molly Dant Cecil. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and was well known in the community where she lived. Surviving are five sons and four daughters, Henry Mattingly of Louisville, Clelon; Felix and Augustus Mattingly of this county; Paul Mattingly of Illinois, Mrs. Benedict McCauley and Mrs. Robert Miles of this county, and Mrs. Sam Thomas and Mrs. Spalding Lee of Louisville. Two brothers and two sisters also survive. They are Len and Ed Cecil, Mrs. Mary Belle Hughes and Mrs. J. R. Leake, all of this county. Funeral services will be conducted this morning at 9 o'clock at St. Francis Xavier Church at Raywick, by the Rev. Richard O'Hare.
