William McNees and Joseph Campbell were the first elders of the Plain Grove Church.

William died between June 28 and August 12, 1805 as will was written June 26 and probated August 12. bur. Plaingrove (probably in back row).

Father of Mary (McNees) Jack, Sarah (McNees) Kelly, Florence (McNees) Breckenridge, Jane , James, John and William.
