Clarksville Woman Dies
Funeral for Mrs. A. W. Black Will Be Held Sunday Afternoon
CLARKSVILLE - Mrs. A. W. Black, 84 years old, died here after a brief illness at the home of her son, Ernest P. Black, Friday night.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence, burial to be at Fairview cemetery here.
Mrs. Black was the mother of Eugene Black, former congressman for this district, now judge of the Federal Board of Tax Appeals. He was expected to leave Washington late Saturday by place, so as to arrive here for the funeral.
She is survived by three other children, A. P. Black and Mrs. Willie Martin of Blossom, and Ernest Black here beside a brother, Irvin Shackelford of Eden, Miss., and a number of grandchildren.
