Rev. Charles W. Hardendorf, well known in Massena and Louisville, died at Blooming Grove, N.Y., Oct. 1920, after an illness of several months, of cardiac esthma, followed by dropsy. Rev. Hardendorf was pastor of the Congregational church at Blooming Grove, having come there from Cleveland, Ohio. He was buried at his request in Washingtonville, N.Y., a small village near Albany.
Mr. Hardendorf was pastor of a church in Louisville, 38 years ago, where his first wife died. Later, he married Miss Eva Matthews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Matthews of Louisville Landing. She died in August 1916 and he, later, married Miss Laura Bell of New York. He is survived by two sons, Edwin and Dell and one daughter, Amy, by his first marriage to Ida and one son, Foss, by his second marriage to Eva.
