Graveside Rites Held Monday For Florence Anthony

Graveside rites for Sula Florence Anthony, 64, former Memphis resident, were held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 6, with Rev. Paul Lusby, minister of the Amarillo Church of Christ, officiating.

Miss Anthony passed away May 2 at Whittier, Calif. She was born May 26, 1898, in Alabama.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery with services under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home.

Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. J.E. Ayers of Abilene, Mrs. W.B. Heaton of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. G.H. Evans, also of Los Los [sic] Angeles, Mrs. John Holland of Arnett, Okla., Mrs. Leonard Blake of Nap, Calif., Mrs. Tom Bursey of Amarillo; one brother, Lee Anthony of Memphis.

Pall bearers were Roy Hethcox, Odell Anthony, Tom Bursey, T. Thompson, Spencer Wright, and Tolbert Anthony.
