William D. McKelroy, a resident of Shawnee was born October 5, 1936 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Herbert and Leona Faye (Sneed) McKelroy. He passed away Wednesday January 13, 2010 at Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years 3 months and 8 days.
William had lived most of his life in the Sulphur area. He had worked for the state highway dept. before his retirement. William attended the Faith Center Church in Sulphur and had recently moved to Shawnee. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years.
Survivors: wife: Betty of Lindsay, Daughters & sons-in-law: Wilma Carnell & James of Pauls Valley, Regina Hughes & Arthur of Shawnee, Son: Clyde Hursh of Shawnee, Grandchildren Dennis, Christina, Donel, William and Arthur,Jr. 1 great grandchild: Casydi.
Services: Monday January 18 at 2:00 PM at the Faith Center Church with interment in Oaklawn cemetery.
