BOTTOM - Rev. Jesse H was born in Mercer co, Ky, 14 Dec 1815. His parents emigrated to Sumner co, Tenn, in 1818, where they remained until 1837. They then moved to Cape Girardeau co, Mo. He was there united in marriage to Miss Sophia T Grimsley...He was licensed to preach on the Dallas Circuit by Rev J R Burk, 2 Dec 1854, and was ordained deacon in the city of St Louis, by Rev. Bishop H H Kavanaugh, 14 Oct 1860. In the fall of 1865 he moved to DeSoto co, Miss, and was ordained Elder in Hermando, Miss, by Rev Bishop R Paine, 14 July 1867...He quietly fell asleep in Jesus at his home in Marshall co, Miss, 25 Aug 1870, leaving a wife, two children and many friends to mourn their loss. - One Who Loved Him.
