BRAUER - Jessie B. Brauer, 71, R. R. 1, Rochelle, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 1967, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Carmichael Jr., R. R. 1, Rochelle, after a long illness. Born May 12, 1895 in Winnebago Township, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pollard. Lived near Winnebago nearly all of her life. Married to Oscar Brauer in Rockford Feb 9, 1915. Member of the First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago, the Woman's Association of the church, the Dorcas Circle, Winnebago Garden Club and the Westfield Book Club. Survivors include; her daughter, Mrs. Carmichael; a son, Harold Brauer, Winnebago, 13 grandchildren, and a brother, Roy Pollard, Miami, FL. Her husband died April 6, 1958, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Gieske, also died earlier.

Services at 2:30 p.m. Monday,, March 27, in First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago, with the Rev. William Butler, church pastor, and Rev. B. F. Floyd, pastor of Lindenwood Union Church, officiating. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery. Arrangements by Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, 304 N. 5th St. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established in her name at the First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago.
