Rites For Mann A. McAfee, Ex- Tylerite Are Held Here Today
Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. today for Mann A. McAfee, 78 former Tyler resident who died Wednesday night at his home in Waco.
Services were in Thorndike Funeral Chapel with Rev. E. B. Brooks of the East Tyler Baptist Church officiating and burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
McAfee, a long-time member of the Waco Baptist Church, formerly worked in Tyler with the B&B construction department of the Cotton Belt Railroad. He was transferred to Waco several years ago.
Survivors include one brother Joe McAfee; two daughters, Mrs. E.E.Ferguston of Tyler, Mrs. J. W. Anderson of Pensacola, Fla.; one son, G.L. McAfee of Waco; three granddaughters, Mrs. Julian Bishop of Belcher, La.; and Cora and Grace Ferguson of Tyler; two nieces, Mrs. W. N. Green of Tyler and Mrs. E. C. Bundy of Houston; and one great granddaughter, Charlotte Bishop of Belcher, La.
