Funeral services for Mrs. Stanley A. Brewer, 67, of Bagley, who died Sunday at a Grand Forks hospital, were held at the Congregational Church at Bagley, Wednesday. The Rev. Donald Stegink officiated with burial in the Bagley City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
Lenora Hudspeth was born at Medora, Illinois, January 6, 1903 where she grew up and was educated. She moved to Alexandria, Minnesota in her late teens and was married there to Mr. Brewer, October 7, 1919. He died October 10, 1963. The Brewers moved to Bagley in 1920 and Mrs. Brewer had made her home with her son in Grand Forks since December. She was a member of the Bagley Congregational Church and the Helping Hand Club of Bagley.
Survivors are five sons, Stanley of Moorhead, Ronald, St. Paul, Harlan, Grand Forks, Sammy, Minneapolis and T-Sgt. Kenneth Brewer, serving in the U. S. Air Force in Vietnam; five daughters, Mrs. Lynn Beaslin (Francis) Oklahoma City, Mrs. Pete Sciuvhetti (Jean) , Great Falls, Montana; Mrs. Nabor Martinez (Mary Louise) ElCajon, California, Mrs. Duane Shelquist (Jeanette), Bemidji, Mrs. Roger Sorgaard (Catherine Ann), New Brighton; 31 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, John Hudspeth, St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters, Mrs. Palmer Ronning (Clementine), Akeley, Mrs. Dahn Seymour (Florence), Buckley, Washington, and Mrs. Elmer Rusten (Doris) of Moorhead. A daughter, Juliette, died in 1952.
