Anna Conley Berwick, of Mt. Pleasant Trailer Park in St. Johnsbury, died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 28, 2009 at the age of 45.
Anna was born Dec. 9, 1964 in Newport, Vermont, the daughter of Jesse and June Conley. She was predeceased by her mother, June Conley Lewis, on April 13, 1994.
Anna raised beautiful standard poodles and placed them all over the world. She regularly took in abused, abandoned and neglected dogs of all kinds, saw to it they got their shots, nurtured them back to health, and found them good homes. The way she took care of her animals reflected her good and caring heart.

She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by her two sons: Robert Royer and fiancee Cassie Shea of St. Johnsbury, and Harlan Miles, age 14, of St. Johnsbury; Anna was like a second mother to Cassie.
She is also survived by her father Jesse Conley, Sr. of Barton; 4 brothers: David Conley and wife Cheryl of Island Pond, Jesse Conley, Jr. and wife Karen of Barton, James Conley and friend Debbie of Barton, John Conley and wife Gloria of Barton; 3 sisters: Jane Handley and friend Ernie of Lisbon, N.H., Mary Politano of Orleans, Rosemary Terri of Sanford, ME.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a victim of domestic violence.
