Graveside services were said for 79-year old Ira Andrew Perkins of Gatesville at 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Restland Cemetery with Scott's Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Perkins died Wednesday, January 16, 1980 at the Rotunda.
Mr. Perkins was born in New Mexico August 27,1900, the son of Eliza J. Perkins and Menerva Cox Perkins.
The family resides at 403 Bridge in Gatesville.
Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife, Ivie of the home.
Also surviving are five sons: Henry and Tommy Perkins of Gatesville, Alfred of Dallas, Joe of Flat and Billy of Huntsville, Texas.
Also surviving are six daughters: Jenell Hoisington of Lipan, Edie Collins of Walnut Springs, Amy Cox, Molly Finley, and Christine Bottom all of Gatesville; one brother: Henry Perkins of Temple and four sisters: Macy Walters of Pettis, Doller Badie of Pettis, Lillie Coleman of Uvalde, and Dollie.
Ira Perkins had 55 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
