J. B. (Doug) Robertson of Gatesville died Monday in a Houston hospital following a long illness. He was 63.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Gatesville Funeral Home chapel with Rev. G. L. Derrick officiating.
Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Robertson was born in Coryell City July 5, 1911, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Robertson. In 1940 he went to Houston, and was employed in the ship building business. He remained there until 1969 when he moved back to Gatesville.
Mr. Robertson was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Lonnie (Ellen) Flentge of Gatesville, Mrs. Henry (Bedie) Necessary of Pasadena and Mrs. R. V. (Ethel) Myers of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for Mr. Robertson's funeral were Albert Lengefeld, Jack Painter, Morgan Necessary, Archie Necessary, T. J. Moore, and Henry Edwards.
