Second Lieutenant Miller was the pilot of
B-26B Marauder #41-18239, serving with the
350th Base Unit from DeRidder Army Air Base,
Louisiana.

He was killed in the line of duty when he
crash landed, due to engine failures,
twenty miles south of the airfield, near
Longville, Louisiana.

Age 23, a son of Kai and Clara S. Miller.

Three other airmen perished:

2nd Lt. Spero Abraham
2nd Lt. Billie E Isgrigg
2nd Lt. Noah A Lunsford
