Not long after Amelia's father's death in 1865 (her age was then 7), her mother (re)married Henry F. Albershardt (ID: 16380312). My paternal grandfather, Harry F. Albershardt (ID: 40759181), always referred to Amelia in a loving way as "Tante Amelia": German for aunt Amelia.
