Kaye was born Alexander Kaye Ogilvie. His parents are Rev.David and Barbara Kaye Ogilvie. Kaye was born in Kenosha Wisconsin. He lived many places as his father had many pastorates. His final home was in Chicago Illnois.

Kaye was a pilot with the 278th Aero Squadron during WWI. He lost his life on November 29, 1918, eighteen days after the armistice was signed. I understand that he and his observer Bill. N Williams where doing practice runs when the accident happened. Both men lost their lives that day.
