Funeral services for Ashley Denise Karen Jean Alexander, 11, of Pollok will be held Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 3 p.m. in the Clawson Assembly of God Church with Reverend Kevin Poage officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.
Ashley was born January 19, 1995 in Palestine, Texas, to Philip and Denise (Maciel) Alexander, and died Thursday, July 13, 2006. Ashley was a student at Central ISD, a member of the Girl Scouts of America Troop 9223, and a member of the Clawson Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her parents, Phil and Denise Alexander of Pollok; brothers, Joshua Alexander of Pollok and Ed Alexander of Dallas; uncle, Thomas Maciel of Palestine; aunts, Angelia Maciel of Indianapolis, Indiana, Karen Fowler of Cibolo and Karen Bush of Cortland, New York; niece, Geneva Alexander of Dallas; cousins, Carrie Platt, Tracey Langford, Christin Maciel, Taelor Maciel, Makenise Maciel, Brandon Maciel and Bo Rhyne; and a number of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Maciel, George Tubbs, Bo Rhyne, Jeff Clopp, Josh Williams and Luis Salazar. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
