Clara G. Morris, 90, widow of Lemmie Melvin Morris, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007.
Born in Pickens, she was the daughter of Gussie Dunwoody and Walter Gardo.
Mrs. Morris was a retired battery filler and formerly a member of Westside Assembly of God.
Surviving are a daughter, Geraldine Kenemer and her husband, David, of Conyers, Ga.; two sons, Jerry F. Morris and wife, Eloise, of Mauldin, and Ted Morris and wife, Edith, of Piedmont; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hilda Cordell. She was predeceased by a brother, Herman Gardo; and three sisters, Naomi Putnam, Manolia Smith, and Margaret Phillips.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St., Greenville, SC 29605 or Open Arms Hospice (formerly St. Francis Hospice), 414-A Pettigru St., Greenville, SC 29601.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be at Graceland West Cemetery.
