Ambrose J. Biedenbach, 73, of 304 Belford Street, Caldwell, a retired farmer, died at
5:45 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 1) at Good Samaritan Hospital where he had been a patient
several days. He was born April 19, 1896 in Monroe County, a son of Joseph and
Barbara Muth Biedenbach. He resided on a farm on Lewisville Route 2 for many years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Biedenbach; four daughters, Mrs. Dean (Anna
Margaret) Maxwell of Malta, Mrs. Gilbert (Lucille) Huffman of Lewisville Route 2, Mrs.
Blair (Stella) Brown of Midway and Mrs. Denver (Phyllis) Schell of Caldwell Route; a
son, Paul Biednebach of Sarahsville; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Ehlermann of Caldwell, Mrs.
Josephine Bosold, Mrs. Anna Weisend, and Mrs. Mary Kuhn, all of Canton, and Mrs.
Christine Stiner of Yuma, Ariz; three brothers, Clarence of Oregon, Henry of Cambridge
and Edmund of Lewisville Route 1; 32 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A
daughter and two brothers are deceased.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Brubach Funeral
Home in Summerfield where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Requiem mass will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr.
Lawrence Luciana officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery at Caldwell.
