Named Landelin for his Grandpa Boley. Lewis indicated his Grandpa had 2 or 3 brothers who came from Germany to a German & Irish Catholic settlement near Lorotto, (western) PA between 1800-1830. A number of Boleys are buried in St. Michael's Cemetery there, possibly Landelin's brother's families. Then his branch relocated to Somerset, OH abt 1840 where St. Joseph's was a similar parish.

Lewis married Florence in 1898 & they had son, Chester D. b.1899 & dau., Florence b. 4-03-1901, but their mother d. 6 days after her birth. Lewis married 2nd wife, Ella on 1-17-1904 in Perry Co. (1st wife's cousin), attended by both sets of parents. In 1920 & 1930 censuses: Alice I. b.1905, sons, Paul b.1909, Joseph b.1907, James B. b.1913.
