Garrett, Indiana, Dec. 17, -----Henry Dice, a pioneer resident of Allen County, but lately residing in Auburn, was taken a few days ago to Sacred Heart Hospital where he underwent an operation for gallstones. The operation, performed by Dr. Duemling, of Fort Wayne, assisted by Dr. Klinger, of Garrett, and Dr. Stamets, of Auburn, was successful and twenty-six gallstones and a growth were removed. Mr. Dice is 69 years of age and very feeble, but while the operation was a very serious one, Mr. Dice's friends are hoping to hear of his rapid recovery.
