OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)
Max D. Ridenour, 78. Wabash, died at 9:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

He was born Oct. 28, 1928, in Wabash County to Fred and Lucy (Lugar) Ridenour. He married Marjorie K. Lowe on Oct. 21, 1953, in Fort Wayne, and she survives.

Mr. Ridenour was a 1947 graduate of Somerset High School and attended Purdue University, Lafayette, and Defiance (Ohio) College two years, where he also played basketball. He owned Wabash Mobile Glass since 1958. He was a 10-year member of the Wabash Lions Club, a member of the Somerset Masonic Lodge No.383 and a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, walking and jogging.

He is also survived by a son, Mark (Julie) Ridenour, Angola; three daughters, Marsha (Tom) McGuigan, Houston, Texas, Mari (Ronald) Martin, Somerset, and Margaret "Boo" (John) Salb, Wabash; eight grandchildren, Keri Favia, Rohnert Park, Calif., Kaitlyn Salb, Wabash, Matthew Ridenour, Lafayette, Mitchell Ridenour, Angola, Ryan McGuigan and Megan McGuigan, both of Houston, Texas, Scott Martin, Somerset, and Lori Martin, Indianapolis; two great-grandchildren, Tristin Favia and Garrett Favia, both of Rohnert Park, Calif; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Emrick, Somerset. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris and Darwin Ridenour; two sisters, Martha Emrick and Doris Shaw; and a great-grandson, Gavin Favia.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., with Dr. Kent Young officiating. Burial will be at Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Preferred memorial is I.C.C.U. at Wabash County Hospital.
