A. Arlen Bradley, 77, of Perkins, Oklahoma died on Sunday, September 27, 2009 in Perkins, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Lost Creek United Methodist Church with Reverend Max Rudd officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born on May 25, 1932 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to Herbert Vance Bradley and Grace Lillian Jones- Bradley. He married Carolyn P. Townsend on September 22, 1956 in Dover, Oklahoma.
He attended numerous rural schools and graduated from Mt. View High School. He was a retired post clerk.
He was a member of Lost Creek United Methodist Church. He was also a little league baseball coach for over twenty years and a member of the Noon Lion's Club.
Arlen was a U.S. Naval veteran, belonged to the P-T Demon Athletic Booster Club. He was a fair man, a hard worker and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Charles Allen Bradley.
He is survived by his spouse, Carolyn Bradley of Perkins, OK; two sons, Douglas Arlen Bradley of Perkins, OK; Craig Allen Bradley of Stillwater, OK; daughter, Dawn Denise Bradley Southern of Glenpool, OK; three grandchildren, Bradley Ryan Southern of Glenpool, OK; Autumn Fotch of Perkins, OK; Kendall Nolting of Arlington, TX; and one brother, Herbert Eugene Bradley of Hennessey, OK.
