A sincere Thank You to Ron Manley, for trusting me with the management of Ashley's page - his kindness is greatly appreciated!
Ashley Nicole Joy Paine, 12, of Oak Ridge, went to her heavenly home Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007.
She was born Dec. 26, 1994, in Oak Ridge, the daughter of Donnie and Laurie Paine.
Ashley was a 7th grader at Robertsville Middle School where she was active in the Titans Club, enjoyed singing in her school chorus and had been a member of the track team in the past. She was also a member of Midway Baptist Church in Clinton, which included involvement with the youth group and several activities such as camping at the Bill Rice Ranch. She was a beautiful, vibrant girl who loved playing basketball, softball, flag football and most of all soccer with the AYSO teams. Her goal in life was to 'Save the World' and she accomplished that goal by donating her heart and other organs to several recipients, so that she can continue to live in us all. She loved helping others and is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Daved Eben Paine-Steele, age 12 and a 7th grader at Cherokee Middle School, and Tyler Austin Paine, age 19 months; sisters, Alexis Lea Paine, age 11 and a 6th grader at Robertsville Middle School, and Kaitlan Alyssa Paine, age 8 and a 3rd grader at Linden Elementary School.
She is also survived by maternal grandparents, Stan and Judy Price of Oak Ridge; paternal grandmother, Sandy Paine of Oak Ridge; great-grandmothers, Mary Price of Double Adobe, Ariz., Jeanette Price of Colorado, and Lucy Link of California; and numerous extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
