CONKLIN, Holly Jean, was born in Ventura, Calif., on October 25, 1954. She passed away in Lancaster, Calif., on December 13, 2009, at the age of 55. Holly is survived by her spouse of 34 years, Jack Conklin, her daughters, Sara Beth and Mary Conklin, and her son Ben Conklin. She also leaves her sister, Jan (Pete) Nichols, her niece Krystle (Nick) Fields, her nephew Jason Tripp, and her brothers Mark Curtis and Dave Harriman. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Diane Harriman, and her grandmother, Marion Hadley. Holly grew up in Ventura, Calif., and graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Zoology. She lived in Stockton, Calif., for 9 years while she received her training as a medical technologist. She moved to the Antelope Valley in 1984, and worked at the AV Hospital for 20 years until her health forced her into early retirement. Holly was devoted to her family, loved to go camping, ride horses, was an avid reader and was committed to various volunteer endeavors. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lancaster. A graveside service will follow immediately at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery for the family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Scoliosis Foundation at www.scoliosis.org. Arrangements by Halley-Olsen- Murphy, Lancaster Chapel.
