Charles C. Towne was born to Clayton Chester Towne & Elsie Cecil Boson Towne on May 18, 1922.
Charles was the oldest of the children born on May 18, 1922 and was oldest brother to Nancy, George, Virginia, Hazel & Chester.
Charlie was a graduate of Edmore Rural Agricultural School, class of 1940.
Charles underwent basic training in California and was transferred to the Aleutian area, where he died while on patrol duty during a severe snow storm.
Memorial services were held on June 27th, 1943 at the Edmore Methodist Church. A marker was placed in Vinewood Cemetery for Charles. There is also a centograph at the Punch Bowl (Honolulu National Cemetery in Hawaii).
