From the Wahoo Wasp, August 31, 1893: "Mrs. James Teachman died very suddenly last Saturday. She had been ill for some weeks, but not thought dangerously. The cause of her death is supposed to be some peculiar condition of the blood, causing it to clog in the heart and stopping its action. Her death being so unexpected, was a shock to the whole community."
